On Saturday, 22nd November 2025, twenty-eight (28) men gathered at the residence of Uncle James Hottor for what became one of the most enriching moments of brotherhood, learning, and deep spiritual reflection. The meeting, which brought together men from different walks of life, was a profound encounter, one marked with honest reflection and heartfelt conversations about manhood, discipleship, and God’s purposes for men today.

As part of the session, the group took time to reflect on three profound passages of Scripture: Isaiah 66:1–5, Hebrews 13:7–13, and Romans 8:17–26. Each passage invited the participants to consider God’s sovereignty, the call to perseverance, and the hope we have as heirs with Christ. These scriptures created an atmosphere that was both introspective and transformative.
Uncle James, who is always calm in demeanour, full of wisdom and years of experience, led the discussion with sincerity and vulnerability. Speaking to what it truly means to be a man in God’s eyes, he touched on essential themes many men wrestle with. Thus work, marriage, personal discipline, character, and the purpose for which God calls each man.

Throughout the meeting, he offered simple yet deeply challenging statements that lingered in the minds of those present. Among them were unforgettable quotes such as: “Marriage is God’s model for disciple-making.” A reminder that marriage is not just companionship, but a refining and discipling relationship designed by God. “Life reveals us.” The idea is that the pressures, trials, and triumphs of life expose what is truly within a man’s heart. “A dead man cannot sin.” This is a call to die daily to the flesh and allow Christ’s life to shape your actions. “People favoured by God do not always have the easiest life.” A comforting truth that God’s favour does not exempt us from hardship, but strengthens us through it.

At the end of the meeting, all the participants were filled with a sense of gratitude and renewed purpose. They left not just encouraged, but challenged to live responsibly, love deeply, and pursue God wholeheartedly. The gathering was a powerful reminder that God is still shaping men into vessels of honour, men who would be after His own heart.
Pray that this time together bears lasting fruit in every life that was represented.
