On November 7 and 8, 2025, key ministry leaders of The Navigators Ghana held an Annual Review & Planning Retreat, an important gathering that blended reflection, prayer, strategic conversations, and a renewed sense of God’s call for the coming 2026. The retreat, attended by staff, field leaders, and ministry coordinators, provided a moment for the ministry to step back, listen, and discern God’s direction together.

The two-day meeting was marked by an honest evaluation of 2025 ministry progress, challenges, and the way forward. At the center of the retreat was discussing and agreeing on the 2026 Ministry Direction, which resulted in a bold goal: to see a movement of ordinary people living out the gospel among the lost, fully available, fully funded, and multiplying disciples in new locations by the end of 2026. This vision resonated strongly with participants, especially those serving in challenging fields where the call to live among and disciple the lost is felt most deeply.

The ministry verse for 2026, Isaiah 54:2–3, cemented the discussions with a spirit of expansion and faith. Leaders reflected on God’s call to “enlarge the place of your tent…do not hold back,” a message that is both comforting and stretching. It’s clear God is asking us to trust Him for more disciples, more labourers, and more impact.

The retreat unpacked three major objectives for 2026. The first is a 100% increase in ministry funding, a target that sounds ambitious but necessary. Also, to recruit and nurture 15–20 new major donors, deepen engagement with families and business leaders, and strengthen giving culture across the movement. With the financial deficit faced in 2025, these discussions were particularly vital.

The second objective focuses on capacity building for at least 40 Conventional Income Labourers (CILs), thus ordinary believers serving in workplaces and communities. It’s not far from right that the strength of the ministry lies in equipping everyday Christians to live out and pass on their faith. Training programs, regular webinars, and marketplace equipping initiatives are all slated for the year.

The third objective, building and multiplying ministry teams, was also essential. As the ministry expands into new geographical locations, it is necessary to emphasize the need for strong, healthy teams rooted in Scripture, prayer, and relational depth. Plans for that include team-building trainings, short-term ministry internships, and intentional formation of teams led by trained entity leaders.

The retreat closed with a unified commitment to step into 2026 with faith, courage, and obedience. If the atmosphere during the two days was any indication, the year ahead promises growth, stretching, and renewed impact for the Kingdom.

We invite you to constantly pray and get involved as we pursue this vision together in 2026
