It was nothing short of an experience at this year’s Women’s Conference. The event, which took place at the Navigators’ House in Dzorwulu, Accra, on Saturday, 19th July 2025, was not just another program, but a moment where both young ladies and elderly women gathered for rich fellowship and spiritual nourishment.

The timely theme, “Rooted and Radiant: Women Stewarding God’s Gift,” made the program even more impactful. The keynote speaker, Dr. Mrs. Theodosia Adanu, a senior Navigator and seasoned professional librarian, who also currently serves on the Navigators Africa Regional Team, shared passionately on the theme. She emphasized that the foundation for being a good steward is rooted in one’s relationship and intimacy with God. Without this foundation, it is practically impossible to steward God’s gifts effectively. “Stewardship is lordship in practice,” she said. Participants were therefore challenged to take their walk with God seriously and grow in intimacy with Him (John 15:5).

Participants also engaged in a self-assessment session to measure how they were stewarding God’s gifts in their various workplaces, homes, and communities. The collective realization was that no matter one’s current level, there is always room for improvement through intentionality and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 1:6-7). The Wheel Illustration, one of the Navigators’ tools for assessing one’s relationship with God, was also used in line with the theme.

Two ladies, Elolo, a Behavioral Technician, and Anas, a Fashion Design entrepreneur, shared how they are stewarding God’s gifts in their immediate environments. Their stories were inspiring and soul-lighting, showing how God uses our availability and willingness, and not just our capabilities (1 Peter 4:10). Some of the site attractions that enriched the event included the sale of women’s items like bracelets, clothes, and water bottles, fostering a sense of community and creativity.

Finally, Mrs. Ansah, wife of the National Director, briefly introduced participants to who The Navigators are, our calling, and core values. This was especially helpful for first-timers, but also served as a refresher on the ministry’s commitment to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

As women entrusted with unique gifts and opportunities, it is important that they rise to the call to be rooted in God and radiant in our world. We pray and hope there will be a recommitment on the part of all women to steward their time, talents, relationships, and influence for God’s glory. Every woman must stay connected to Christ, empowered by the Spirit, and be intentional in how they serve because it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2).
