To improve the aesthetics of our company, we planted snake plants in front of the exterior corridor. We placed them in four different locations: two in line to the left and two in line to the right. It was fascinating to observe how these snake plants grew. One plant thrived remarkably well, maintaining its freshness and growing steadily. Two other snake plants developed new leaves from the center and also, grew consistently thereafter.

The last snake plant was the most surprising; it initially showed no signs of growth. Two weeks passed, then a month, a month and a half, and eventually, two months went by without any visible change. Then, out of nowhere, we noticed a new shoot rising about six inches from where it had been planted. It turned out that all this time, it had been focusing on producing roots to support this new growth, while we had assumed it was weak and dying.

As disciples of the Lord Jesus, we bear proof of a powerful truth. This proof we carry is not weak but is inward and mighty. This is the proof that Christ was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. Similarly, we may feel weak in Him, but we will live with Him by the power of God. Like the wind, which is invisible yet shows its effects plainly, the Spirit of God works silently in the human heart; this is the power of God.

The gospel of Christ, which is the regenerating power of God, creates new life in the soul that no human eye can see; it transforms a person into a new being in the image of Christ, but while the work of the Spirit is often quiet and imperceptible, its effects are evident. If the heart has been renewed by the Spirit of God, our lives will bear witness to this change. The fact that the spiritual dimension of our lives cannot be seen does not make it any less real. We are participants in the very life of Christ. He does dwell in us by His Spirit.
