In 2016, as a freshman at KNUST, I encountered the Navigators in a serendipitous moment that would forever shape my spiritual journey. Abigail Asante, a passionate Navigator student, was in my dorm, Africa Hall, sharing the gospel with my roommates when I walked in. Intrigued, I joined their Bible study, marking the beginning of my discipleship journey.

By my second year, Mrs. Elipklim Ansah noticed me and took a personal interest in my spiritual growth. We had one-on-one sessions along with the group discipleship. Her invitation to the 2018 Navigators Youth Camp, themed “Bearing Fruits” (John 15:16), was pivotal. The camp emphasized God’s desire for us to bear fruit, reflecting His nature and passing it on to future generations. Inspired, I returned home, revisited my lessons, and wholeheartedly surrendered to Jesus, committing to a life of fruitful discipleship.

I felt a strong calling to help young women grow spiritually in 2020. This conviction led me to receive Disciple-Maker Leader Training (DMLT) with the Navigators. My journey led me to Nigeria, where I met Oyinkasola, a bright 16-year-old grappling with questions about relationships and sex. Through Scripture-based discussions, I witnessed Oyin grow in her convictions about God’s standards, mirroring the guidance Mrs. Ansah provided me.

Jesus envisioned reaching the world through His disciples, emphasizing generational ministry (2 Timothy 2:2). Inspired by this, I am committed to engaging and mentoring young women like Oyin, helping them find answers in Scripture. Just as Jesus multiplied His ministry through His followers, I, too, have answered the call to be a generational pillar for His work. Will you join me in this mission?
