As I reflect on my journey of discipleship with the Navigators, I feel immense gratitude for the transformative power of God’s love and guidance in my life. Before encountering the Navigators, I was fortunate to have Christian parents who are ministers of the Gospel. They provided me with a platform to exercise my spiritual gifts and ministry. One lesson they impressed upon me is that salvation is individual, as stated in Philippians 2:12 and 2 Timothy 2:15.

Although I used to read my Bible and pray, my understanding of God’s love was superficial, and I lacked a deep, personal relationship with Him. This changed during my high school years when I became the Scripture Union President. My involvement and dedication reached new heights, yet it became clear that God had a plan for my life. As He says in His Word,For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope(Jeremiah 29:11).

In one of my devotions, I came across Psalms 27:4:One thing I have asked of the LORD; this is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and seek Him in His temple. This verse captivated me; I yearned for intimacy with God. I sought His presence through fasting and prayer, but I still struggled in my relationship with Him.

During the last quarter of my time as Scripture Union President, Apostle Kwame Asomaning played an instrumental role in my discipleship journey. He often used our fellowship time to encourage us to focus on our studies and develop a personal relationship with Christ Jesus. His influence on my spiritual growth has been significant, particularly his emphasis on the importance of knowing the Holy Spirit.

Through regular meetings and Bible studies, I began to experience a deeper connection with God and a sense of community with fellow believers. My experience with the Navigators has inspired me to serve others and share the Gospel with those around me. One person I recently led to Christ is Felix, and I am praying that God opens his heart to the Gospel more and more.

I also had the privilege of serving with the Navigators under the leadership of Apostle Kwame. I am deeply grateful to Apostle Kwame Asomaning and the Navigators for investing in my spiritual life and helping me grow in my faith. His dedication and support have been invaluable to me.
