In a world filled with technological and social distractions, it is easy for many to simply go with the flow and forget that God created man for a specific purpose on this earth. Sadly, it has been widely observed that many people, including Christians today are wandering about aimlessly, not knowing their purpose and apparently going nowhere. But one thing is certain: eternity. There is no two ways about that.

It was against this backdrop that Youth Camp 2025 was held under the theme: Purpose-Driven Life. This timely theme was chosen to serve as a starting point and to create a lasting memory in the hearts of participants that life is not a pointless venture, as many think. Instead, there is a need for this generation to intentionally live lives driven by purpose.

The camp brought together over 90 participants from different parts of Ghana, along with a few from our neighboring country, Togo. Across four days, participants were immersed in inspiring and Spirit-filled activities. Central to the camp were the powerful theme talks delivered by Mr. John Komla Ansah, National Director of the Navigators Ghana, who also served as the main speaker.

On Friday morning, participants experienced a refreshing prayer walk in pairs that lasted at least 40 minutes, with each pair interceding for one another. Later that day, the speaker gave an exposition on the theme, using anchor scriptures such as Romans 8:28 30 and Jeremiah 29:11. He emphasized that a purpose-driven life is not simply about achieving personal dreams, building wealth, or even necessarily entering full-time ministry. Rather, it is about discovering God’s purposes for one’s life and serving them faithfully, as demonstrated by David in Acts 13:36. In other words, it is about living the life God has already predestined (Colossians 1:16; Romans 8:29).

Other key takeaways from this talk were that God foreknew each follower of Christ even before they were born, and He chose them to serve His purposes. Therefore, He causes all things to work together to ensure His purposes are fulfilled.

On Saturday, the third day, camp began with an energetic aerobics’ session led by a coach from Loyce Fitness. For 40–50 minutes, participants were guided through aerobics and other exercises to prepare both their minds and bodies for the day’s activities. The morning exhortation, drawn from 3 John 1:2 (NIV), reminded participants that good health in body is as important as spiritual well-being. The second theme talk for the day built on this by showing that no one can live out their God-given purpose apart from Him, as highlighted in Ephesians 2:10.

Workshops followed, including a brief overview of the book of Esther, showing how God positioned Esther as queen for a divine purpose. The lesson was clear: no matter what happens, all things will work together for God’s plan in the lives of His people. The evening concluded with a Christian movie, The Train, which reinforced the truth that every God-given talent, no matter how small, can be used to fulfill His purposes. Two things are essential: remain focused and trust God, for He will do the unimaginable.

On Sunday, the final day, the speaker delivered a stirring message on discerning whether one is truly living according to God’s purposes and the importance of God’s timing in fulfilling them. There is no better way to put it than to say: if you missed Camp 2025, you truly missed a great experience.

Indeed, this year’s theme was timely. It gave all participants, including pupils, the opportunity to reflect deeply on how God would have them live their lives, not just for themselves but for His eternal purposes. We are confident that a solid foundation has been laid for these young individuals to grow into purpose-driven lives.

We kindly invite you to continue praying with us, that the lessons learned will remain alive in their hearts. Finally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported Camp 2025 in diverse ways.
