On the bright morning of February 23, 2025, the Takoradi Team of The Navigators Ghana stepped onto the campus of Ahantaman Girls Senior High School, filled with anticipation and excitement. It was more than just another Sunday service as usual. It was a divine appointment. The team went to share the message of hope, transformation, and eternal life, and they believed that God was about to move the hearts of young ones searching for truth, purpose, and a deeper understanding of their faith.

As the service commenced, the students’ voices rose in beautiful harmony, lifting songs of praise and worship that filled the atmosphere with warmth and reverence. The uplifting atmosphere also created an atmosphere of reverence and expectation. Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for; The Message. Taking the stage, Edith Carta Williams, field staff of The Navigators Ghana, whose personal testimony became a beacon of hope for many.

Her message, titled “The Bridge to Life,” centered on the saving power of Jesus Christ. She shared her story of how she once felt lost and empty, searching for something to fill the void in her heart many years ago. But everything changed when she encountered the true Bridge to Life Jesus Christ during one of their morning devotions at the orphanage home.

Quoting Ephesians 2:8-9, she emphasized that salvation is a gift: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works so that no one can boast.” She further strengthened the message with 1 John 5:11-13, “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life”, affirming that only those who have Christ have eternal life. The whole assembly fell silent as her words sank in. Could it be that salvation was not something they had to work for, but something freely given? A question the team could perceive went on briefly in the minds of these young ones.

When the time came for the Altar Call, a call to step onto the Bridge to Life. Edith’s words seemed to linger in the air, but something incredible happened. One by one, young ladies stood up in faith, signaling their desire to receive Jesus.

A total of 42 students made the bold decision to surrender their lives to Christ that day. The team prayed with them, rejoicing in their new faith. But they knew that was only the beginning because the mission of The Navigators has always been about more than just salvation, it is about discipleship. Accepting Christ is the first step, discipleship is the journey ahead. With hearts full of gratitude, the team carefully took down their details, determined to walk alongside these students in their newfound faith.

The team is committed to nurturing these young ladies, helping them grow in faith, understand the Word, and develop an intimate relationship with Christ. Follow-up meetings, Bible studies, and mentorship sessions will be part of their journey, ensuring that the seeds sown take deep root.

Prayer Requests

– Pray and thank God for drawing these young ladies to Himself.
– Pray that they will develop a deep hunger to know Christ more.
– Ask God to equip and strengthen the team as they disciple and minister to more students.

The journey has just begun, but one thing is certain; lives will be changed, and the ripple effect will be felt for generations to come.

Glory to God!!

We give God praise for opening this great door for the gospel to be preached. We pray God moves powerfully through life-to-life discipleship in Jesus’ name.
