It was another intriguing and exciting breakfast meeting organized by the Transition Ministry of The Navigators of Ghana. The meeting was purposed to enhance great fellowship where participants can learn, catch up with friends, and make new friendships.

The event was graced by a wonderful speaker, Doctor Nimako-Boateng, who spoke extensively on the topic, “How to build and Sustain Godly Relationships. After the talk, participants had insight and a better understanding that different people come into our lives for different purposes. Some may be short, and others long-lasting.

The speaker also made it clear that good friendship comes by being honest, taking inventory of one’s life, keeping oneself accountable, clarifying relationships, setting boundaries, and not being afraid to ask questions about the state of the friendship, especially with the opposite sex. The latter is crucial in order not to lead someone on.

Also, sustaining relationships takes intentionality, loyalty, availability, and vulnerability. Friendships are meant to help in the growth of oneself be it spiritually, physically, or otherwise, etc.

Proverbs 17:17 puts it perfectly well; “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity”.

Participants were also put in groups for accountability sessions led by leaders of the Transition Ministry. It was a time when each person shared how they were doing regarding their spiritual disciplines, such as quiet time, scripture memorization, prayer, witnessing, etc. After the session, each member identified what they could do differently to enhance their spiritual growth and be consistent in their disciplines.

God bless all who graced the occasion with their presence, donations, and prayers.

Be our guest at the next Breakfast Meeting, which takes place in the third quarter of 2024.
